Our Pastors

Meet Our Pastors
Samuel & Valena Metcalfe

Pastor Samuel and Pastor Valena become Pastors of City of Faith in the year of 2025.

Pastor Samuel and Pastor Valena were ministry leaders of New Life Christian Fellowship for 12 years under the Godly instruction of their spiritual parents Bishop Donald and Pastor Vanessa Black, Senior Pastors of New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

Pastor Samuel and Pastor Valena’s vision for City of Faith is to “Impact the Community and to be a life changing conduit by Speaking Life into the Lives of others”. Their favorite life changing scripture is Proverbs 18:21, Death and Life is in the Power of the Tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Pastor Samuel and Pastor Valena have been married for 30 years and out of their beautiful union, God bless them with 10 children, 5 sons and 5 daughters.

Our mission is to cultivate an environment where every person, regardless of their background or beliefs, feels welcomed, supported, and inspired. Through worship, outreach, education, and creative expressions, we aim to empower individuals on their unique journeys of faith and personal growth.

Our Beliefs

WE BELIEVE the Holy Scripture to be given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, infallible, and God’s revealed word to EVERY HUMAN BEING.

WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God and the Son of man that He came to save men from condemnation of sin by offering His blood as atonement and making it available to all who exercise faith in Him.

WE BELIEVE that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

WE BELIEVE the scriptures ascribe to the Holy Spirit the acts and attributes of a super-intelligent being, and that the works of God are ascribed to the Holy Spirit, such as creation, inspiration, giving to believers who ask for it.

WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost without Christ to everlasting damnation.

WE BELIEVE in the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE the redemptive work of Christ of the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

What defines City of Faith is the authenticity of our community. Here, you are not just a member; you are family. Our doors are open, our hearts are warm, and our shared experiences create a sense of belonging that transcends the ordinary.
